WWAARC’s Ongoing Commitment to Person-Centered Excellence
Throughout the years of Warren-Washington ARC, Albany ARC and now Warren, Washington, Albany ARC with the consolidation of both agencies in February 2013, our Vision, Mission, and Values have focused on the people we support with our services and our desire to promote their abilities, individuality, and contributing roles in community life… a Respectful Commitment.
During the week of June 14-17, 2016, WWAARC had the opportunity to engage in the process of achieving CQL Person-Centered Excellence Accreditation. CQL| The Council on Quality and Leadership is an international organization that for over 45 years has been a “leader in working with human service organizations and systems to continuously define, measure and improve quality of life and quality of services”.
Throughout the accreditation process, WWAARC had the opportunity to demonstrate its commitment not only to its Mission, Vision and Values but also to its desire for ongoing quality improvement and enhancement in the areas of person-centered services and supports that lead to increased quality of life.

CQL Accreditation Process
The accreditation process included a variety of activities in which input from all levels of stakeholders was sought. The result of this week-long process was an assessment of WWAARC’s dedication to maintaining and enhancing our performance in the following areas:
• CQL’s Basic Assurances – promotes accountabilities for ensuring health, safety and human security for people WWAARC supports;
• CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures – an interview tool that focuses on the choices people have in their lives and is used to identify people’s quality of life outcomes, plan supports, and gather information and data about individual outcomes
• CQL’s Shared Values – offered WWAARC the opportunity to demonstrate on behalf of and in conjunction with the people we support our Mission, Vision, and Values.
What does the CQL Accreditation mean to WWAARC?
Our Person-Centered Excellence Accreditation reflects WWAARC’s commitment and ongoing efforts to ensure that our supports and services focus on the person’s interests, dreams, and priorities. WWAARC acknowledges that Person-Centered supports inherently applaud each person’s individuality while promoting dignity and respect.
