Description: Our Quaker program located in Queensbury, NY currently has a Full Time (40-hour) Human Resources Manager position available. The Human Resources Manager acts as the key staff liaison to the Assistant Executive Director for Human Resources in managing all of the essential functions of the agency’s Human Resource Department. The primary focus of the position is to ensure the smooth and effective operation of activities related to talent acquisition, on-boarding, employee engagement and employee relations.

 

Qualifications:

= Strongly preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Human Services or related field and a minimum of one year of experience in a position involving human resources management.

= Required qualifications include an associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Human Services or related field and a minimum of three years’ experience in human resource management required.

= SPHR or PHR certification is strongly preferred. A willingness to obtain HR Certification(s) is required.

= A valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards is required.

= Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

= Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

= Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

= Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

= Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

= Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

= Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

 

Anticipated Shifts:

Report to work on time and as scheduled.  This is a full-time, salaried, overtime exempt position. This position will require flexibility. The HR Manager must be available for some evenings and occasional weekends as needs require for recruitment events, projects, trainings, and seminars.  Travel between the two Administrative Offices is required (Quaker Road, Queensbury & Krumkill Road, Slingerlands); as well as, travel within the 3 counties and outside for designated events.
