Description: Warren, Washington & Albany ARC currently has a Full Time (40-hour) Assistant Director of Behavioral Services and Supports available. This position provides oversight, direction and support to the Behavior Department, in collaboration with the Director of Behavior Supports and Services. The Assistant Director of Behavioral Services will also coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of person-centered behavior interventions, while ensuring conformance with applicable laws, regulations and WWAARC policies. This position can be based out of either location-Krumkill or Quaker Rd.- with the expectation that travel will be required to both.
= 18 years of age.
= A valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards.
= Master’s Degree in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology or applied psychology as it relates to human development and clinical interventions, and documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development or other qualifications that meet the regulatory definition of a Behavior Intervention Specialist.
= A minimum of five years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably with the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior support plans.
= Preferred knowledge of Federal & NYS regulations governing Medicaid service provisions and OPWDD.
= To secure and maintain all certifications and trainings required by WWAARC.
Monday-Friday 40 hours
Note: Hours vary to fit the needs of the program. Depending on agency needs, flexibility is required. This is salaried, overtime exempt position.
