ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Description:

The role of the Assistant Program Director is to train, educate and support those staff he/she supervises so that those staff are prepared to step up and become strong leaders as managers of the residences.  The APD is responsible to oversee the operations of those residences assigned to them so the individuals who reside in these homes are safe and supported to live as they choose within the scope of their home and community.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age
  • A valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards
  • To secure and maintain all certifications and training required by WWAARC.  This includes, but is not limited to, Medication Administration, 1st Aid & CPR, Decision Driving, and SCIP-R.
  • A Bachelors Degree in a Human Service related field with 1 year of experience with the ID/DD population; at least a High School Diploma or GED required. College transcripts may be used in lieu of a High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience with the ID/DD population with at least 2 of those years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion to ensure employee compliance with regulatory standards, agency policies and procedures, and consumer total plans of care.

Scheduled Shifts:

Monday – Friday    Hours vary based on the needs of programs; Extra hours as needed according to the needs of the program.
