Network Administrator

Our Network Administration Department currently has a Full – time (40 hour) Network Administrator available. Primary responsibility is to keep the network running optimally 24/7. Establish network specifications by conferring with users; analyze workflow, access, information, and security requirements ensuring CIA pillars are upheld at all times; manage router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. Consistent evaluation of network performance issues, including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment. Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis and performance tuning; responsible for troubleshooting network problems and escalating problems to vendor(s). Actively triage networking issues Actively triage networking issues This position has the flexibility to be based out of either our Queensbury, NY or Slingerlands, NY Administrative offices.

18 years of age.
A valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards.
To secure and maintain all certifications and trainings required by WWAARC.
Minimum 2-yr. degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred, additional practical experience in lieu of degree considered.
Experience in networking and server management is required.
Knowledge of database structures such as SQL, and the principles of database design, a plus.
Problem-solving, proven organization, and good analytical skills required.
Familiarity with HIPAA and PHI regulations.
Must be an effective communicator and possess superior writing and speaking skills.
Software experience in Microsoft 365 and VMware or other virtual software platforms is required, Bitdefender, Acronis and Kaseya are a plus.
Experience with firewall appliances such as Barracuda and Fortinet is preferred.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Active Director, Exchange, Microsoft Server, and Windows 10 is required.
Strong familiarity with project management methodologies to streamline development efforts a plus.
Must be able to handle stressful situations and be flexible regarding any changes in day-to-day duties or projects.
Must possess the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, other departments including the individuals we serve.
Must possess the ability to manage a variety and multitude of tasks at any one given time and effectively triage acute project issues.

Anticipated shift:
Flexible schedule available. Sone remote work is available. A hybrid schedule will be considered if candidate is interested. This is a salaried exempt position. Agency business hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.
