Direct Support Professional Registered Apprentice

Our programs in Warren & Washington counties currently have Full Time (40-hour) DSP Registered Apprentice positions available. This is an hourly position, and should you be interested – overtime is available. DSPs support and care for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. This can include but is not limited to assisting the people with getting ready for the day or going to bed, cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, and participating in social/recreational activities in the community – and just plain having fun while making a difference!

Want to be a WWAARC DSP Registered Apprentice and join our Team? Required qualifications include a valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards. Must be 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Shifts vary from site to site, and this position requires availability evenings and weekends, possibly overnight shifts. Schedules are created to enhance the supports we offer to the people we serve. Also, must be able to complete required day time paid training and participate in a SUNY and NYS Department of Labor sponsored training program to include classroom study at SUNY Adirondack’s main campus in Queensbury. Tuition and other applicable college expenses will be paid by WWAARC! In addition, you will get a pay increase upon completion of the program.
