Buildings & Grounds Technician II

Warren, Washington, Albany Counties ARC currently has a Full Time (40-hour) Buildings & Grounds Technician II position available. This position will provide maintenance that will include plumbing, carpentry, and electrical. This is based out of the Queensbury office.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. College transcripts may be used in lieu of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards.
  • To secure and maintain all certifications and trainings required by WWAARC.  At least 2 years of experience in buildings or grounds maintenance, preferred
  • Must have a strong background in at least one of the following areas: plumbing, basic carpentry, painting, basic electrical, building and equipment repair, or grounds maintenance.
  • Physical requirements:  Job is a manual labor position, and employee is required to stand, lift, kneel and bend regularly throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.  Employee must be able to regularly lift 50-75 pounds with or without accommodation.

Anticipated Shift:

Monday – Friday    7:00am – 3:30pm. Other hours will be required depending on emergency situations, snow removal duties, and rotating on-call.
